About Cheaplorer

Cheaplorer exists because strike-through prices are mostly marketing. We record real prices from real stores every day, keep the history, and say plainly whether a "sale" is a sale.

What this site is

A price-intelligence site for home tech, starting with robot vacuums and coffee makers. Every tracked product gets daily price checks across US stores, a 90-day price history, and a verdict (real deal, typical price, or inflated) computed from that product's own record. The rules behind every verdict are public on the methodology page.

Who runs it

Cheaplorer is built and run by Mert G., tracking prices on home tech since 2022. No editorial team, no sponsored rankings: the tracker collects the data, the published rules turn it into verdicts, and what you read follows from that data and nothing else.

How the site makes money

Some store links are affiliate links; if you buy through them, the store pays a commission. It never changes a price, a ranking or a verdict. The sort order is price, and the verdict math is published. Full disclosure on the methodology page.
