A strike-through price only means something if it was ever the real price. When a "discount" is judged against the product's own 90-day history and fails, it lands here together with the data. Real drops live on Price Drops.
How a sale gets flaggedsame data, no opinions
We compare the advertised strike-through price against every price we've recorded for that product in the last 90 days. If the "was" price never held, or the price was raised shortly before the "sale", the verdict is Inflated and the listing is excluded from Price Drops. Full rules on the methodology page.
